After viewing a previous tips for new players thread, its very clear that most new players have no idea what combo fields are. Since the game itself does not teach you what they are, I found this short video that demonstrates some of these combos. Hope this helps some of you out. Happy hunting
Guild Wars 2 New Player Guide: Here's a few hints and tips to get you started on Guild Wars 2. Guild Wars 2 is a fairly easy game to get into, but it's a little more complex than its predecessor
I tip commensurate to my estimate of the time that it saves me, with a rate of about 20g/hr applied. I usually don't take ports for the easy daily stuff, but for that I'm tossing them 1g if I do seek out a port for some reason. For chalice of tears or searing ascent, the guide videos alone are 12-15 minutes long.
Firstly welcome to guild wars 2, this game is pretty much good for solo except for group content like fractals and raids. But you will have a long way to go before you are ready for that. My one bit of advice is to find a friendly guild that will help newbies.
16) Ancient MagicsTo unlock this mastery tree you need to have episode 1 or 2 of LW3 unlocked on your account and reach the new area the episode provides. T1 "Counter Magic" allows you to use a Special Action skill during certain story instances and events in LW3, which prevents you from getting killed by bloodstone magic and redirects it back

Newbie warrior players are fighting an uphill battle if they want to compete. VETERANS are fighting an uphill battle. Post-expansion powercreep from elite specs is, as usual, reigning supreme. Ranger Guide. by Scout January 23, 2020. Ranger (sometimes called Huntsman by players of other MMOs) has one of the consistently highest damage rates in GW2. Ranger also has the best ranged attacks, which can combine with pet skills to provide a wide range of effects. New Player Note: Along with Guardian, we highly recommend Ranger for new players.
An attack like the guardian greatsword #2, used inside the hitbox, will hit 7x harder because all the blades hit the same enemy from the inside. If you're standing outside it the rotating blades only hit one at a time. Same for guardian greatsword #5, all 5 blades will go into the same enemy. 4. ThickAsPigShit.

To me it sounds like people commenting these things have not played enough warrior to realise how much more difficult it is to perform bursts, kite, pressure and defend yourself as a warrior compared to the likes (in WvW at least) of any other
havent touched it since launch. Ok, log in, dont delete anything, create a new character and treat it like a new game. Seriously. Make a new character and explore the world and experiment with the class weapons traits, etc. You will unlock everything by 80, so you cant mess anything up. Worry about optimal builds once you get to 80.
